Plat of Survey Distribution Event – Individual plats of survey for most lots in the community have been on file at the Sports Core since the origination of Thornwood. The association no longer has a need for these documents, so we will be distributing them to any homeowners who are interested in obtaining their original plat of survey. If you would like this document, stop by the Sports Core to pick yours up between 9:00 am and 12:00 pm on Saturday, June 21st.

Shredding/Electronic Recycling Event – This event is for Thornwood residents only.

ProShred will be onsite in the Sports Core parking lot on Saturday, June 21st from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm to provide onsite shredding. Bring your confidential materials to the Sports Core. You will put them into a container which will be mechanically lifted and dumped into the onsite shredder. You can then watch the destruction of your documents on a closed circuit monitor. Accepted materials include: all paper, file folders, hanging files, computer files, computer paper, notepads & envelopes. No need to remove staples, paperclips, fasteners or rubber bands.

Junkluggers is teaming up with Thornwood for a e-waste collection event in the Sports Core parking lot on Saturday, June 21st from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. This event is free for all items, except TVs & monitors. The charge to recycle a TV or monitor is $20 per item which can be paid with cash, venmo or zelle. The following items will be accepted: computers, laptops, tablets, printers, circuit boards, servers, modems, scanners, wires, keyboards, mice, hard drives, VCRs, DVD players, radios, speakers, power tools, gaming systems, cameras, camcorders, cell phones, telephones, microwaves, projectors, small household appliances, old holiday lights.

The spring garage sale is planned for Friday, May 16th and Saturday, May 17th 8am - 4pm.  There will be an optional pre-sale for Thornwood residents only from 6pm - 8pm on Thursday, May 15th.

Thornwood permits three garage sales per year with our Spring Sale being the only one to require registration. Registration is now open and ends on May 12th. Maximize your sales by completing the attached registration form and drop it off along with your $10 payment to the Sports Core. Registration monies go toward advertising, signage and the printing of the neighborhood maps distributed at the entrances listing participating addresses. Exclusive yard signs can be picked up at the Sports Core office on Mondays from 10 am – 2 pm.
